Performing Arts: Acting - Dance - Musical Theatre (Level 3)
This is a Level 3 Course equivalent to an 1 x A Level . All course qualifications are recognised nationally by the ‘National Qualification Framework’
Aelfa Academy's NEW Post-16 Performing Arts Course is for any aspiring young performer looking to prepare themselves for the next step in professional training. Our Post-16 Sixth Form level 3 students will study Performing Arts Part-Time, enabling them to continue their studies in other areas if so desired. During our 2 Year Post-16 Performing Arts Course, students are coached within the Aelfa Academy of Dramatic Arts, covering all aspects of Performing Arts and then focusing their studies into one core discipline for exam units. This course also benefits from an overlap with students on other courses within the academy's company style approach, on subject areas that are important to all company members, such as Musical Theatre or Story-telling through movement for example. Our Post-16 Performing Arts Course is an exciting and vibrant course delivered by Industry Experts.
Students will qualify their training with recognised 'UK DIPLOMA' qualifications graded at Level 3. This means the course is the equivalent to 1 x A Level qualification. The duration of study amounts to approximately 4 hours per week term time. This is a course that allows students to be studying more traditional A-Level qualifications else where, whilst studying at Aelfa Part-Time. However, there is an opportunity for students to work within the academy on a more Full-Time basis and increase the Diploma to the value of 2 x A level qualifications. The course is designed to be flexible to meet the needs of the student.
